These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MoonCal. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use MoonCal.
MoonCal converts lunar dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, and festivals into calendar subscriptions (ICS feeds) that you can add to Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and other apps. Free accounts can create one calendar; creating or editing an event generates dates for the next 20 years.
When purchases are available, MoonCal Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges. It includes unlimited calendars, opt-in email reminders and monthly summaries, and ongoing extension of future event dates for as long as MoonCal operates. Future separately priced services are not included. Existing purchases retain their agreed benefits. Email delivery and calendar refresh timing depend on external providers and cannot be guaranteed.
Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake or Creem, as shown at checkout. Purchases through either provider are priced at $4.99 USD before tax. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. Review the final total before payment. For orders or refund requests, use the support information on your payment receipt or email support@usemooncal.com. MoonCal does not store card details. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. A full refund or payment dispute removes the benefits associated with that order; partial refunds retain access. If no other valid purchase is active, the corresponding additional services stop, while existing calendars, events, and subscription links remain available.
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you agree not to:
These Terms remain in effect while you use MoonCal. You are responsible under applicable law for your unlawful conduct or breaches of these Terms. If you breach these Terms, including by accessing other accounts or data without authorization, disrupting the service, or storing or distributing unlawful content, we may restrict relevant features, suspend or terminate your account, and remove content that violates these Terms, depending on the nature and severity of the conduct. We may also take necessary restrictive measures in response to suspected fraud, security risks, or legal requirements.
Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will explain the reasons for our actions and give you an opportunity to respond or correct the breach. We may act immediately in cases of serious violations, urgent security risks, or where immediate action is required by law.
After account termination, you will no longer be able to use the service through that account. Related data will be retained or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Suspension or termination does not release you from legal obligations that have already arisen or limit your statutory consumer rights. To appeal a decision, or to stop using the service and request account deletion, contact support@usemooncal.com.
Each calendar has a private subscription link secured by a unique token. You are responsible for who you share it with, and you can revoke a link at any time by regenerating its token. When you delete a calendar it is soft-deleted and then permanently removed after 90 days. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.
You retain ownership of the content you create (your calendars and events). The MoonCal name, brand, and software remain our property. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process your content in order to provide the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoonCal and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed dates, inaccurate conversions, or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these Terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the service. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the effective date shown on this page. Restrictions, suspension, or termination of an account due to a breach are governed by the "User breach and account termination" section above.
